RVOSD firmware update V2.01

RVOSD V2.01 firmware (right click save-as)
This is for RVOSD gen 2, main board.

Changes:
2.01 Patch for Main board:
- changed maximum pitch//roll angles allowed to +-40°
- Corrected throttle FS and throttle bias selection on autopilot mode
- Corrected calculation of current for the ACS-755-050
- On startup no servo outputs untill rc link its detected
- Disable outputs if RC link not detected at 7th second.
- Fixed a bug that made the AHI to blink when no FMA heads present.
- No longer needed to recalibrate the AHI, after setting the neutral rudder//pitch, now the system automatically detect changes on thermal conditions.
- CDP4 calibrate menu, no longer needs to point the plane nose up, you can do this now with the plane leveled.

You will need the PICkit 2 programmer to apply this patch.

1. Insert CD and install the PICkit 2 software.  Connect the PICkit 2 to a USB port.

2. Remove power from your RVOSD and connect the PICkit 2 programmer as shown below.
The white arrow on the PICkit 2 indicates pin 1. This pin matches the square on the RVOSD.

3. Open the PICkit 2 PC software and choose device family > dsPIC33

4. Go to File > import HEX file , this is the new firmware for the RVOSD.
Click > Write

5.  Keep the RVOSD connected to the PICkit 2. After the programmer is finished you will see this screen:

6. You are finished. You may disconnect the PICkit 2 from the RVOSD.

RVOSD firmware update V1.12

RVOSD_V1.12 firmware (right click save-as)

Changes:
1. bug in autopilot menu fixed, where one setting would not save after power restart.

You will need the PICkit 2 programmer to apply this patch.

1. Insert CD and install the PICkit 2 software.  Connect the PICkit 2 to a USB port.

2. Remove power from your RVOSD and connect the PICkit 2 programmer as shown below.

3. Open the PICkit 2 PC software and choose device family > dsPIC33

4. Go to File > import HEX file , this is the new firmware for the RVOSD.
Click > Write

5.  Keep the RVOSD connected to the PICkit 2. After the programmer is finished you will see this screen:

6. You are finished. You may disconnect the PICkit 2 from the RVOSD.

RVOSD firmware update V1.11

Download the V1.11 firmware here !( right-click save as)

Bugs addressed:
-Incorrect speed indication when imperial units selected.
-Protection added to avoid servo outputs going out of range when no inputs conected.

Here are the instructions to update your RVOSD:

RVOSD firmware update V1.10

If your OSD box does not have a sticker stating version 1.1, then you need to install this patch.

We have made a new firmware for the RVOSD which fixes two known bugs

1.  GPS bug affecting Eastern  hemisphere.
2.  Futaba PCM receiver compatibility

Download the new firmware here. RVOSD firmware 1.1, Nov. 2008
(just right click and Save As)
